The Lock Family of Kingsbury and Stembridge started making cider over 100 years ago at Cox’s Farm.
The Parrett Cider Company, founded by Tim Gray and Calum Mcleod, have been making cider since 2012.
The Porters of East Lambrook developed many cider apple varieties from the late 1800’s. Perhaps one of the most significant, and still being used, is ‘Porters Perfection’.
The Stuckeys of Stembridge – five generations of very significant apple, orchard and handling innovation, at local, county and regional level.
In 1970 Julian Temperley bought Pass Vale Farm from Charlie Duck. Cider had been made on the farm for over 250 years. Burrow Hill Cider was set up in 1971. Hugely significant work in all areas at local, regional, national and international levels.
Vere French had several parts to his working life – haulier, apple grower and withy grower. He owned orchards in the Parish.
